LN2 = Liquid N₂ (因為 Nitrogen molecule 是兩個Nitrogen Atom 所組成)

由於LN2 的沸點 (Boring point) 是攝氏 -195.79度，
而N₂汽化熱 (Heat of vaporization) 是5.56kJ.mod^-1。

在理想的情況下

• 蒸發1公升的LN2所帶走的熱能, 能令2kg的銅下降攝氏208度
• 要令1kg 的銅由25C 下降至 -180C 只需0.49公升的LN2

計算工式都幾深…..

Nitrogen
Heat of vaporization是5.56kJ.mod^-1
Standard atomic weight = 14.00067g.mol^-1, N₂即大約28g. mol^-1。
即是每 28.01g 的 LN2 蒸發就會帶走 5.56kJ的能量。
1 公升LN2 重0.808kg
即是,
蒸發 1L LN2可帶走5.56kJ.mod^-1 * (808g/ 28g.mod^-1) = 160.45kJ的能量。
蒸發 1kg LN2可帶走5.56kJ.mod^-1 * (1000g/ 28g.mod^-1) = 198.6kJ的能量。

Copper
銅的Specific heat capacity = 24.440J.mol^-1.K^-1、atomic weight 63.546g. mol^-1。
即是Specific heat capacity/kg = ( 1000g / 63.54g. mol^-1 ) * 24.440J.mod^-1. K^-1
= 384.6J. kg^-1K^-1

Vaporize 1L LN2 on Copper surface
要令1kg 的銅由25C 下降至 -180C 所需LN2 = (25+180) * 384.6 / 160450 = 0.49Liter

今日收到了新訂的4條Type T sensor。今次連 Plug 買，貴多$30 ( HKD 80.44一條 )。

但個Plug用料比預期好，原來連接腳也是同樣物料以確保温度準確。

Wikipeida Thermocouple
Type T (copper–constantan) thermocouples are suited for measurements in the −200 to 350 °C range. Often used as a differential measurement since only copper wire touches the probes. Since both conductors are non-magnetic, there is no Curie point and thus no abrupt change in characteristics. Type T thermocouples have a sensitivity of about 43 µV/°C.

幫人試水冷頭, XSPC D 頭好難上…..
